I know it is March, but never fear spring is almost here. Plans for the sixth annual Family Pantry Gala are underway, the seed catalogs for the garden are arriving and many of our snow bird volunteers are returning. Mark your calendars for the summer Gala on June 11th, and Soup Bowls for Hunger on April 12th. The Gala and Soup Bowl events will sell out early so plan to get your tickets soon.

Second Glance Thrift Boutique Anniversary

Second Glance Celebrates New Location

If you have not shopped at the Second Glance Thrift Boutique now is the time. The shop just reached it's one year anniversary in the new location and 10th year in operation. There is something for everyone; clothing, housewares, art, jewelry, accessories, furniture, and knick-knacks galore.

Shop our Vintage Linen Boutique on April 13-17th for a wide variety of items ranging from bureau scarves to tablecloths.

New Board Members join the Pantry

Four new members, who share the passion to feed those in need, have agreed to serve; while a new slate of officers take their seats.

Toni London - Monomoy school employee and Pantry team leader

Lilee Merl - Junior at Nauset Regional High School

Judeth Frallicciardi - Retail consultant and former Assistant VP for T J Maxx

Nancy Poor - Longtime Pantry supporter and Pantry volunteer

Amy Camenga of TD Bank, completed her term as President and turned the reins over to retired executive, Susan Adsit. Erik Porter relocated and was replaced as Vice President by Lorraine Cowhey, volunteer at the Pantry and Second Glance Thrift Shop. Youth director, Abby Pollock, has gone on to attend the University of Hartford pursuing a degree in music and gave the nod to Lilee Merl from Nauset Regional High School.

Soup Bowls for Hunger

April 12th at the Cape Cod Tech in Harwich

This will be the 25th year the Cape Cod Potters have hosted this event to benefit the Family Pantry. Artists from across the Cape donate hundreds of handmade soup bowls, the Girl Scouts are the hostesses, and the Culinary department at Cape Cod Tech creates the wonderful soup!

The meal consists of a roll, coffee or tea, and a warming soup served in a handmade bowl that each participant gets to keep as a reminder of hunger on Cape Cod. All of the 600+ bowls are handmade by professional potters, art students in public and private schools, and art programs across Cape Cod.

There will be 3 seatings for this event 5:30, 6:00, and 6:30 p.m. The price of each ticket is $18 and each seating will sell out. Click here to order tickets

The 6th Annual Family Pantry Summer Gala

June 11th at the Wychmere Beach Club

The Sixth annual Family Pantry Gala is planned for Sunday June 11th at the scenic Wychmere Beach Club.

The Gala is hosted by Tom and Shelly O'Neill as they honor patriarch Tip O'Neill and continue his support of the Family Pantry.

The evening event will be from 5:00-8:00 pm and will feature entertainment, cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.click here to purchase early.

The Chatham Harwich Newcomers Woodworkers Group - Donated 734 man hours to create the new display case for the Pantry

Cape Cod Disc Golf Club - Drew McManus dropped off food & a monetary donation to Christine Menard.Their donation topped their 2016 results!
